Libraries WIN an Emmy

Douglas County Libraries and The Network DC, the county television station in Douglas County, received Emmy Awards from The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for their Public Service Announcement "Discover Your Library."

The 22nd Annual Heartland Regional Emmy Awards & Silver Circle Presentations were held at the Belmar Center in Lakewood on July 19th. "Discover Your Library" received two Emmy awards:

• Community/Public Service (PSA) - Single Spot
• Short Form Editor

Several libraries from across the United States have expressed interest in purchasing a customized version of DCL's "Discover Your Library" PSA, and it is already being aired in the Arlington, Texas area.
