Highlands Ranch Storytimes
Storytimes are based on the American Library Association's Every Child Ready to Read appproach to early literacy.
Baby/Toddler: Talkers 2-3 years. Early Talkers Birth - 2yrs. Puppets may be used occasionally for this early literacy program.
Mom & Toddler: 12-24 months. 8-week special storytime session. Stories, Songs, learn about rhythm and movement. Designed for Moms and Toddlers.
No siblings please. Baby Caregivers, Grandmas, and Moms are invited to participate. Registration is required Contact Number: 303-791-READ
Preschool: Pre-Readers 3-5 years. Puppets may be used occasionally for this early literacy program.
Meeting Room Guidelines
Douglas County Libraries provide meeting rooms to enrich the educational mission of the library, to enable members of the local community to gather to discuss issues important to the community and to encourage the free exchange of information on a wide variety of topics. The meeting rooms are available to all nonprofit, community, and for-profit groups, regardless of their beliefs or affiliations.
To improve gas mileage, our environment, and our parking situation, Douglas County Libraries encourages those who meet at its facilities to carpool.
Guidelines
Highlands Ranch Community Meeting Rooms
The Highlands Ranch Library meeting rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Meeting rooms are free for non-profit and community groups, which are also given preference in reservations. For-profit groups may reserve rooms when space is available. Donations are encouraged. Suggested donation is $25 per use.
Juvenile Book Clubs--Highlands Ranch

Book Club For First & Second Graders - Join us for this 7 week session book club and read fun chapter books. Each child who is in 1st or 2nd grade can register for one 7-week session per year. Registration for the 7 week session is required.
- Session One: August 28 - October 9
- Session Two: October 30 - December 18
- Session Three: Jan. 8 – Feb. 19, 2009.
- Session Four: March 12 – April 23, 2009.
Registration is open one month prior to the beginning of each session.
Mother/Daughter Book Club – Girls in 4th-6th Grade, bring your mothers and join us for fun activities and book discussions. Watch the calendar for dates, times and titles, or ask at the Children’s reference desk for details.
Mother/Teen Daughter Book Group--Highlands Ranch
Meets the first Monday of each month at 7pm. Teens ages 12-15, are invited to bring their moms or another adult female and discuss books. Registration is required.
Highlands Ranch Mystery Loves Company Reading Group
Meets the 1st Thursday of every month at 7pm.
